Self Managed Care
What is Self Managed Care?
Self Managed Care enables clients to take full control and responsibility for their care needs. Acting as a Self Manager, individuals are responsible for coordinating, managing and directing the non-professional services they need to continue living at home in their communities.
As a Self Manager, you may choose to directly employ your own staff. At Care Possible, we’ve made it easy to find a Care Provider who fits your unique needs. We take care of the employment insurance, registering with CRA and background checks, so you don’t have to worry and can focus on getting the best care available.
Self Managers’ responsibilities include:
using any funding from Regional Health Authorities (RHA) to purchase services or employ staff
ensure backup services when necessary
You can be assessed by the Regional Health Authority in your area to access financial support that can help subsidize hiring care providers.
Learn more about eligibility by finding your RHA.
